The students while staying in Chandigarh also take dummy admission in their home states. They spend round Rs. 2 lacs per year which includes the tuition fees, Charges for PG/Accommodation and dummy school fees. The success rate for the above competition is not more than 8 to 10% of the total student population but while staying in the Chandigarh they learn many un-desirable and un-palatable habits which in the long run are detrimental to their careers.

In the year 2009 our convener S. Sardara Singh Johl, Padma Bhushan, Chancellor Central University, Bathinda advised us to examine a project for opening a coaching centre in ASSM collage and school, Mukandpur Distt. Navan Shahar. The management of the college and International Sikh Confederation after negotiation signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to define the duties and actions to be takes by both Organizations. The students studying in classes 10+1 and 10+2 were to be coached for additional two hours after school five days a week with a crash course of a month’s duration towards the end of the year.

The faculty was selected from the college staff for Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology. The syllabus and lesson plans were acquired from top Chandigarh Coaching Institutions and followed judiciously. First two years we had some teething problems of understanding the subject by the students due to higher standard of delivery and students being from govt. Schools of Rural areas. With experience we finally plighted local school teachers as the most suited to take these classes with the guidance. This level of teaching was well taken by the students as the subjective and objective type study being taken by the same teachers resulted in high dividends. Our results in the 10+2 started showing excellent performance, most of the students started getting 80% and above and could complete in Entrance Examinations like Medical/ Dentistry / Nursing / Engineering / Pharmacy at University level.

In the 4th and 5th year, our four children made it to the IIT main and hence got admission into regional engineering collages and others in the university collages. Our Guru Nanak Coaching Centre Mukandpur (International Sikh Confederation) results in the year 2013-14 and 2014-15 speak for themselves and are attached for information.

Having successfully run the coaching Centres since the last 7 years, we gradually opened three more coaching centers at Guru Nanak Public School, Dusanjh, Distt Moga, Guru Harkishan Public School, Pandori Khajoor, Distt. Hoshiarpur and Akaljot Public Sen Sec School, Shergarh, Distt Patiala. These coaching centres have already shown performance in their monthly tests and Annual Examinations.

We, The Education and Coaching Committee Baba Makhan Shah Lobana Foundation, Chandigarh are now ready to open Coaching Centres at Mukerian, Begowal and Jalandhar with full support from International Sikh Confederation and with the management of Labana Biradri schools to achieve the above goals for the students of our Lobana Community.
